Top 5 Factors That Changes Cosmetic Dentistry Prices

April 12th, 2012 | Posted by Dental Europe in Uncategorized - (Comments Off)

Cosmetic Dentistry Prices are rising and show no sign of decrease in the foreseeable future. However, you can save huge by the benefits of the dental tourism. When it comes to cosmetic dentistry there is no such thing as a one fits all as every people have different dental and other needs. Prices are calculated along 5 factors that we are covering in this post.

1) Dental work. Each treatment type needs different level of extensiveness – the amount of dental work and time likewise – resulting in different cosmetic dentistry prices.

2) Dental Practice. Depending on the level of standards, high-end technology and even reputation a dental clinic may ask for a different price. Obviously the Central European price range differs from the western counterpart as you can save significantly more with the former.

3) Dentist. Experience and qualifications of a dental professional may have a great impact on the final price. For example specialists tend to ask more for the work they are delivering as opposed to general dentists.

4) Materials. As you might already know that materials play an important role in changing cosmetic dentistry prices by now, there is little to say more about this issue rather than the obvious. For example if you prefer gold or ceramics for your dental bridge the costs can raise easily. It is the same with dental implants – if you choose a brand that is well-known (e.g. Straumann) or a material as such (e.g. Biocare), you have to pay the price for that – of course the results can be a lot different and can give you a peace of mind knowing that it was tested and proved good for others before.

5) Extra services. You can often find the prices that include the costs for aftercare or guarantee –  follow-up appointments and maintenance. However, airport transfer, free accommodation or airplane tickets even are not unknown for dentists who attend to foreign patients’ needs.

Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures include

  • Teeth Whitening
  • Veneers
  • Dental Implant
  • Dental Bridges
  • Tooth or Gum Contouring and Reshaping
  • Cosmetic Bondings
  • Dentures
  • Dental Crowns

Almost everybody is looking for ways to cut their dental care expenses and many find their answers not in their home country – in other words they benefit from dental tourism to save thousands.

It has become known that people who made their research on dental treatment costs are faced with the fact that prices for a dental treatment abroad is (far) less expensive in foreign countries even with traveling and accommodation expenses included. If you’ve never considered dental tourism as an option then perhaps this article places a different light on this matter.

Dental Care Costs + Traveling Costs + Accommodation = is it Still Cheaper?

Many and more people are embarking on a ‘dental trip’ or ‘dental holiday’ solely to save their dental expenses. Dental clinics in European countries (such as Hungary and Poland) are offering their dental service at a far reduced price compared to dentists in Britain. It is not about saving a hundred or so, but their prices are rather a great deal less costly compared to the UK. So if you are looking for dental cosmetic surgery though you might not be able to afford it, then dental tourism is definitely can be help – if you use it wisely and consider safe precautions as well.

You are Not Alone

We even postpone our appointments with our dentists just because we are babies when it comes to our mouth. Add this to the very high prices and we might never see a dentist unless our teeth hurt so bad we can’t sleep or just do not want live with a missing tooth.
You might be surprised to find out that thousands of Britons travel abroad to have their dental work annually. Besides it being a next best option for many of us it may also help lowering waiting lists in dental clinics. There are many websites dedicated especially for medical and dental tourism that offer high-end clinics with experienced dentists along with your travel arrangements. British men and women are incredibly happy about their therapies – even some believe that the majority of the cosmetic dentists and oral surgeons overseas can beat the British counterparts.

Dental Treatment and Holiday at the Same Time?

Many people are making an allowance for this question. Plainly, agencies tend to promote ‘dental holiday’ or ‘dental vacation’ and dental professionals oppose. I’m getting to realise that focusing on one or the other could be most beneficial for you. Having a dental implant is pretty serious – taking painkillers could make you dizzy and less focused. So I would recommend you to choose one and do only that at a time. A combination is possible if you can maybe divide holiday before the treatment, but who would delay if you exclusively came for an oral surgery?

Widely known fact that standard health policies or insurance never offer coverage for cosmetic dentistry procedures and people, who need dental implants for example, have to dig very deep in their pockets at a UK/US dental office for this particular service. In some places in England for example, for a 15 minute regular dental exam you might have to pay £97 – and until now, the dentist hasn’t done anything, he only checked upon your oral health in order to see what procedures you might need.

Dental Treatment Delayed Due to UK/US Prices

In private dental offices in the UK prices for a regular check-up (at over 400 such practices) range between £45 and £124 – according to the “Which?” research. People have practically given up going for regular checkups. Instead, they will choose to go only last minute, when a throbbing dental pain is torturing them, or when they simply cannot stand anymore the frustration of living with missing teeth. Official statistics have revealed that more than half of the population has not visited a dentist in the past two years! This shouldn’t be accepted!

No Postpones Anymore

Brief outlook for status of dental costs in the world shows that the prices charged in Britain are the highest. No wonder why many of us postpone because of the high prices – and we didn’t mention fears from dentistry at all.

However, if you can find a safe dentist abroad you most certainly be treated by dental practitioners using high-end technology in their practices – and most importantly the prices are even 50% lower. Why postpone because of the high prices, save thousands on your dental care and book an appointment with qualified clinics in Central Europe – click here. You just fill out your medical information and dental clinics will bid for your treatment. Welcome to 21. century dentistry!

Welcome! It’s nice that you dropped by! In this post we will cover the purpose of this blog as well as some mental “warm up” exercises regarding dental tourism – including current state and reputation.

What drives me and this blog is to collect any news item, articles or material found online regarding dental tourism and share all information with you. Ok, now you ask who am I to begin with? Well, I’m not a dental practitioner that’s for sure, but a desperate individual who believes “dental tourism” has to give more to patients than usual “best price for best quality”. It has to evolve into a form that people will know every detail about it – where to begin, who to ask, what to ask etc.

First, let’s start with the very beginning: current situation and reputation of dental tourism. You’d assume volume of “dental tourists” should rise as we’re in a tough economic status. A strong maybe would be the answer, as nobody knows/has actual data or facts about dental tourists – people who are seeking dental treatment abroad. There are few researches concerning medical tourism from academic authors that is quite useful for people in the industry, but limited only for them as it is hard to follow if you’re new to this thing. In that case you’ll find many articles at ClickFlySmile.com helpful and few on other sites as well (addressed in a later post).

I have a nearly endless list of questions to be answered – feel free adding an item or two into that anytime!

Looking forward seeing you around here!
